Illegal Off-Road Vehicle Use
Today I surveyed the snowmobile trail leading from the south end of FR 85 to MacIntyre The last time I surveyed the snowmobile trail to MacIntyre was on August 8, 2002.
There was some ATV use of the South Mountain snowmobile trail, which diverges southwesterly from the main trail a short distance south of the end of FR 85.
The snowmobile trail to MacIntyre is eroded badly from past use by wheeled vehicles, but appears to have had less ATV use this summer than it did last year on the segment north of MacIntyre. However, ATV use appears to have increased on the segment south of MacIntyre. There has been some four-wheel-drive use part of the way from the end of FR 85 to MacIntyre.
