For 20 years, Los Padres ForestWatch has served as a steadfast watchdog of our region’s public lands. We are advocates, stewards, and champions for the lands we love. Every day, our team works tirelessly to protect and preserve public lands, to safeguard wildlife and watersheds, and to educate and empower the next generation of conservationists.

Our mission is clear: to protect and preserve the wild spaces that make the Los Padres National Forest and Carrizo Plain National Monument so special.  But we can’t do it alone.

With you by our side, we look forward to building upon this legacy for the next twenty years and beyond, securing meaningful and lasting protections for the Los Padres National Forest and other public lands throughout California’s central coast region.

What People Say

I live in a conservative town. Conservative here means something different than conservation. Los Padres ForestWatch was a game changer for me because I began to meet like-minded people at their events. I visited one of their booths at Los Olivos Day and saw some old friends of mine—maps! Then I began to follow connections from Los Padres ForestWatch on Instagram and I’ve been learning about native species. LPFW has really opened me up to new things and brought me back to nature.
