Los Padres National Forest Inventoried Roadless Areas

There are 37 inventoried roadless areas (IRAs) totaling nearly 636,000 acres in Los Padres National Forest. These IRAs include iconic locales in the national forest such as Dry Lakes Ridge, the Cuyama Badlands, Condor Point, and Tecuya Ridge. Currently, the 2001 Roadless Area Conservation Rule protects IRAs from permanent road-building, certain types of logging, and other development.
