Our 2025 Impact Report Has Arrived!

2 min read

In 2025, communities across California’s Central Coast came together to protect wildlife habitat, oppose expanded oil development, advance wildfire resilience, and connect more youth and families with nature.

Today, Los Padres ForestWatch is proud to share our first-ever Impact Report—a reflection on the work, landscapes, and community behind a year of conservation across California’s Central Coast.

Inside the report, you’ll:

  • Meet Board President Sam Thomas and learn about the experiences that shaped his connection to public lands
  • Explore the impact of community advocacy efforts
  • Hear from a young participant whose time in Outdoor Connections sparked a growing love of nature
  • Experience how thoughtful gatherings and immersive experiences helped deepen connections to the landscapes that sustain us and the work of protecting them

More than a recap, this report is a snapshot of what it takes to protect public lands in an ever-changing landscape and the community that continues showing up for the forests, wildlife, and wild places we all love.

If you believe in protecting wild places and connecting more people to the outdoors, we hope you’ll consider becoming a member of Los Padres ForestWatch. At a time when our public lands are facing mounting threats and rapid change, ForestWatch is leading efforts across California’s Central Coast to defend these landscapes through advocacy, stewardship, education, and conservation—while staying grounded in the belief that a better future is possible. Your membership helps fuel this work, strengthen community action, and ensure these places remain wild, accessible, and resilient for generations to come.

Thank you for being part of this community and for helping protect the wild places we all love.
