Director of Bodywags and Friendmaking

Meet Skye, our resident golden retriever from Grass Valley, California who proudly serves as our Director of Bodywags and Friendmaking. When she is not napping peacefully under a desk or chewing quite loudly on a bone, Skye manages the office grounds by enthusiastically collecting items like stray sandals, important documents, and snakeskins from educational nature displays. She is not inclined to give any of them back. A persistent negotiator, Skye is best known for placing her big head in your lap and not removing it until sufficient ear scritches are received.

Always trying to be helpful, here are Skye’s top three rules for visiting public lands safely, translated from woof to English:

Stay on trails: Protect the local ecosystems and avoid getting lost by leashing your human and keeping your paws firmly on the designated paths.

Pack it out: If you drop a shoe, a document, or a snack wrapper, pick it up immediately, or I will gladly collect it for my personal stash!

Respect wildlife: Admire squirrels, rabbits, and crows from a safe distance, even if your ultimate life goal is to catch them and become best friends.
